Álvaro Miranda, was born in Santa Marta, Colombia, in 1945. Poet, novelist, historian, essayist, editor Winner of the National Poetry Prize, the University of Antioquia. his novel  The Laughing Crow got  the “Pedro Gómez Valderrama” award. In 1996, Simulation of a kingdom collects all his poetic work (1966-1995). His work has been translated into English, Russian and Catalan. your poems  The Other Epic of the Cid  He obtained the first mention in the National Poetry Prize of the Ministry of Culture of Colombia (2007).
